Australian Sixpence Coin Cufflinks
These handmade Australian Sixpence silver coin cufflinks are a unique way to celebrate a special event such as the year of someone's birth, marriage or arrival in Australia. When decimal currency was introduced in Australia in 1966, these beautiful little coins became obsolete. These cufflinks make an ideal 60th birthday present. As Australian sixpence coins were not minted in 1949, please see the link below for threepence coin cufflinks.
These cufflinks measure 1.9cm / 0.75in in diameter.
Sixpence coins minted between 1946 and 1963 contain 50% fine silver, sixpence minted between 1910 and 1945 are sterling silver (meaning they are 92.5% silver). Fewer sixpence were minted 1953 and therefore coins from this year are much rarer.
Please note: sixpence coins were not minted in the following years, 1913, 1915, 1929-1933 inclusive, 1937, 1947 and 1949.
For cufflinks dated 1947, 1949 and 1964, please see our range of Australian threepence Coin cufflinks, which are slightly smaller in size but larger than a standard shirt button.
These cufflinks are packaged in a matt black Pod Jewellery cufflink box.
