We're throwing open the doors of our workshop and giving you the opportunity to work on your own projects. You'll have access to all our tools, equipment, silver solder and sterling silver sheet and wire is available for purchase.
We will supply all materials and consumables including sawblades, drill bits, emery paper, wax for carving, bees wax, silver solder (if you are working with gold, you'll need to supply your own solder).
You will have the use of one of our workshop tool kits, which includes a saw-frame, hand-files, pliers, ring clamp, ring mandrel, planishing hammer, poly mallet, needle files, safety glasses, emery sticks.
You'll also have access to the following equipment: hand drill rolling mill, orca torch (gas), pickle, tumbler, hammers, bangle mandrels, ultrasonic cleaner, bench shears, ring stretcher and our library.
Please note: For safety reasons, you will not be able to melt metal and create ingots in workshop access sessions. This can only be done in private wedding ring making workshops and during private tutoring sessions, as you must be properly supervised throughout this process.
Workshop access is available to Pod Jewellery students. You must have completed a Pod Jewellery workshop prior to attending a Workshop Access Session.
Workshop access is $40 per hour and bookings are for a three hour minimum.
The Pod Jewellery Studio is located in Kyneton - a one hour drive north of Melbourne along the Calder Freeway.
