Lost Wax Silver Earrings and Pendants Workshop - $350
or make 4 interest-free payments of $88 AUD fortnightly with More info
Make your own original pieces of jewellery this Christmas in this fun workshop. This special December workshop is a chance to make a pair of earrings, a pendant or both for yourself, a friend or a loved one. No previous experience is necessary.
On the first half day you work with wax to carve your pendants or earrings. The wax pieces are then taken to Melbourne to be cast in silver (included in the course cost) or gold or platinum (at an additional cost). We gather again for half a day one week later to finish off our gold and silver earrings and pendants.
Jewellery made using this technique is carved from a piece of wax first and is then cast in sterling silver.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS COURSE IS HELD OVER TWO HALF DAYS IN THE AFTERNOON.
This workshop includes a piece of silver jewellery (or two) weighing a total of 15 grams and a sterling silver necklace, earring hooks or earring posts and butterfly backs for your piece. Additional necklaces, hooks and posts can be purchase at cost price if you decide to make more than one piece. If you would like to make a heavier piece of jewellery or a few pieces of jewellery, you can pay for the extra silver, which will be charged at cost price.
Carving rings is a slightly different process. If you're interested in learning to make you silver rings, sign up for the Lost Wax Silver Ring Making Workshop.
Once you have the knowledge, making pieces from wax is something you can continue from home without the need to purchase lots of of expensive tools after the workshop. View the lost wax jewellery making tool kits you can buy from us.
No previous experience is necessary. Written instructions, a list of suppliers, tool list and afternoon tea are included. All tools and materials (except gold/platinum) are provided.
