or make 4 interest-free payments of $58 AUD fortnightly with More info
Create your own made-to-measure sterling silver ring in just one day.
Sit at a traditional jeweller’s bench and learn to use precision tools including callipers, files, pliers, hammers, a soldering torch, ring mandrel, punches and more. At the end of this fun class, you’ll take home your beautiful handmade sterling silver ring.
If you would like to make a more intricate or complex ring, rather than a band, then you might want to consider the Lost Wax Carving Workshop.
No previous experience is necessary. All tools and materials (including sterling silver) are provided. Written instructions, gourmet lunch and morning/afternoon tea are included in your workshop fee. After the workshop, you may want to purchase some tools of your own. View the jewellery making tools you can buy from us.
If you'd like to buy a workshop as a gift but you're not sure what date the recipient will be able to go, you can purchase a Pod Jewellery Gift Certificate. This gives the recipient the flexibility to book into a workshop at a time that suits them.
A $100 deposit is required to secure your place. The balance of $230 is payable in the week before the workshop.
Start time: 9:30am
Duration: 6-7 hours
Workshop location: Workshops are held at the Pod Jewellery Studio in Kyneton - a one-hour drive north of Melbourne along the Calder Freeway.
Here's what past students had to say about this workshop.
"It was one of the best days we've ever had. Thank you Bec." Alex H.
"A fantastic introduction to the art of silver ring making. Kyneton is a gorgeous town and Bec from Pod is an absolute gem." Cassandra O.
"We had a fantastic day, Highly recommend the experience." Melissa M
"I recently had the pleasure of attending the Silver Ring Making Workshop at POD Jewllery Kyneton.
First of all, Bec was incredibly accommodating, going out of her way to make sure everybody was able to get the most out of the course.
I have a background as a metal fabricator and it was clear that Bec not only had the skills to accomodate the more basic designs one would expect from a single day session, but was also able to tackle a more involved design with a ‘we can do that approach’, uncommon in this sort of setting.
I was able to produce a unique gift, while picking up a lot of great skills and information along the way.
Bec clearly puts the students first, even going as far as to email a list of tools used and where to get them, after the course.
I cannot recommend attending a workshop at POD Jewllery Kyneton highly enough." Lliam A. from Kyneton.
