or make 4 interest-free payments of $93 AUD fortnightly with More info
In this one and a half day workshop, you will learn to create a made-to-measure sterling silver ring band and bezel set a cabochon stone. We work with sterling silver in the workshop or for an additional fee you can make your ring from gold. You learn to make the entire piece, including the ring band, which will fit your finger perfectly, so you will be able to wear your ring home after the workshop.
Like all Pod Jewellery workshops, we want you to make a ring that suits your style and taste, so you'll be able to choose the type/colour of cabochon gemstone, the size and the shape (round or oval) and whether you make it from silver or gold. Standard size gemstones will be included in the workshop fee (see below). If you would like a larger or smaller sized stone, please let me know in advance of the workshop and I will do my best to arrange for you.
All tools, equipment and materials (including a cabochon gemstone and sterling silver) are supplied. Choose from the following cabochon gemstones: Carnelian, Banded Blue and White Agate, Onyx, Lapis Lazuli, Smoky Quartz, Adventurine, Labradorite and Tiger's-Eye Amber, Haematite and Green Agate.
If you would like to make your ring with an Amethyst, Rose Quartz, Blue Topaz, London Blue Topaz, Garnet, Citrine, Tourmaline or Sapphire an additional fee will apply, please request a price.
You are also welcome to bring your own cabochon gemstone to set in your ring, providing it has been approved prior to the workshop.
This workshop is suitable for students with beginner level skills and intermediate jewellers. This workshop is not suitable for complete beginners, you must have experience soldering and saw piercing.
Written instructions, a gourmet lunch on the second day and morning/afternoon tea are included in your workshop fee.
