Stone Setting Cabochon Stones or Sea Glass - $700
At the end of 2024, I will be retiring from teaching classes on a regular basis. Due to overwhelming demand, I will be holding some classes on an ad-hoc basis during 2025.
In this one day workshop, you will learn to create a made-to-measure sterling silver ring band and bezel set a cabochon stone or a piece of sea glass. We work with sterling silver in the workshop or for an additional fee you can make your ring from gold. You learn to make the entire piece, including the ring band, which will fit your finger perfectly, so you will be able to wear your ring home after the workshop. Bezel setting is great fun.
Like all Pod Jewellery workshops, we want you to make a ring that suits your style and taste, so you'll be able to choose the type/colour of cabochon gemstone, the size and the shape (round or oval), or the piece of sea glass and whether you make your ring from silver or gold. Standard size gemstones will be included in the workshop fee. If you would like a larger or smaller sized stone, please let me know in advance of the workshop and I will do my best to arrange for you.
You're also welcome to bring your own cabochon gemstone or sea glass to set in your ring, as long as it has been approved prior to the workshop.
