All our workshops are suitable for beginners and you can do them in any order.
Will I learn enough skills to start making jewellery at home?
Yes, you learn basic jewellery making skills in every workshop. After the workshop, you also receive detailed making instructions, a list of tools to buy, a list of suppliers, so you know where to buy tools, metal and have things cast.
How long are the workshops?
Our workshops range from half a day to 1.5 days in length. They are designed to give you lots of useful skills without the long-term commitment needing to return each week.
I'd like to sign up for a workshop, how do I enrol?
All workshops can be booked on this website. Just select the workshop and date you are interested in attending and then select to pay a $100 deposit or to pay in full. If you choose to pay the deposit when booking, the final balance is due in the week prior to your workshop. You will receive an email with a link at that time so you can pay the balance.
What do I need to bring to the workshop?
You will receive an information pack in the week prior to the workshop. It will give you all the information you need, such as what to wear, where to go and anything you might need to bring.
Do I need to buy tools or equipment?
All of the tools equipment and materials are provided. However, if you decide to make a piece from gold, this will be an additional fee. All sterling silver is included in your workshop cost.
Do I get to take home what I make?
Of course. You will leave the workshop with a stunning piece of jewellery that you have made with your own hands!
Where are the workshops held?
The workshops are held in Kyneton, and easy 55 minute drive (85km) north of Melbourne along the Calder Freeway. The workshop is fully equipped with everything you will need to make a beautiful and unique piece of jewellery. In the week prior to the workshop, you will receive an info pack with details on where you need to go and what to bring.
Who teaches your workshops?
Workshops are taught by Bec de Podolinsky. Bec is a gold and silversmith and sells her jewellery range at retail outlets across eastern Australia including the National Museum of Australia in Canberra, Lord Coconut in Melbourne and Artisan in Brisbane. Bec is also a licensed second-hand jewellery dealer.
Do you have gift certificates?
Yes, you can buy gift certificates for workshops via the website. Simply go to the workshop you would like to buy a certificate for and select the gift certificate option. Gift certificates arrive fully gift wrapped in a Pod Jewellery box.
Do you teach private lessons?

What is your cancellation policy?
Places are strictly limited on all workshops and courses. A $100 deposit is payable when booking all workshops and courses. This deposit is not refundable. Any cancellation after payment has been made, will incur a $100 cancellation fee. The remainder of your workshop fee will be refunded. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your workshop booking to another person (for the same workshop dates only). If the workshop does not run and is cancelled by us, 100% of your workshop fees are refundable.
There are no refunds for students cancelling within 72 hours of the start of the workshop.
