You can read more about these workshops by clicking on either of the classes below or by reading our Jewellery Classes Overview.Â
Jewellery Making Classes run all year round. You can keep up-to-date with when the latest jewellery courses are happening by following Pod Jewellery on the social media links below or by signing up for our newsletter.
These jewellery making classes are suitable for absolute beginners and those with some experience.
Our workshops are suitable for beginners and you can do them in any order. The most popular workshop is the Intensive Beginners Jewellery Short Course. You need to have completed the Intensive Beginners Jewellery Short Course before attending the stone setting workshop.
Yes, you learn basic jewellery making skills in every workshop. After the workshop, you also receive detailed making instructions, a list of tools to buy, a list of suppliers, so you know where to buy metal and have things cast. Tools are also available for purchase in the studio. I have put together fantastic jewellery tool kits containing the same tools you'll be using in class.Â
Jewellery workshops range from half a day to two days. They're designed to give you lots of useful skills without the long-term commitment needing to return each week.Â
Workshops are limited to three students. A minimum of two students must be enrolled for a workshop to run.
All workshops can be booked on this website. Select the workshop and date you'd like to attend, and then choose to pay a $100 deposit ($200 for the Intensive Beginners Jewellery Short Course) or pay in full. If you choose to pay the deposit when booking, the final balance is due one week before your workshop. You can also pay the balance at any time, although a payment link will be emailed to you two weeks before the workshop. You can also pre-pay your balance in instalments. Please email Bec to arrange.Â
You will receive an information pack email in the week prior to the workshop. It will give you all the details you need, such as what to wear, where to go and anything you might need to bring.Â
You're welcome to take photos and/or video important parts of the workshop, such as soldering. For the privacy of others in the class, please don't video or photograph other participants without their permission.
All of the tools, equipment and materials are provided. However, if you decide to make your piece from gold, this will be an additional fee. Up to 70 grams of sterling silver is included in your workshop fee. Tools are available for purchase in the studio.
You can also choose to make your pieces from 9ct or 18ct yellow, white or rose gold for an additional fee.Â
If you would like to make a ring that is 3mm wide and under, there will be 9ct yellow and rose gold available for purchase in the studio. If you make your ring from silver, there's a massive selection of silver to choose from, and the cost is included in the workshop fee.
Of course. You will leave the workshop with the stunning pieces of jewellery that you have made with your own hands!
The workshops are held in in Pod Studio just outside Kyneton, and easy 55 minute drive (85km) north of Melbourne along the Calder Freeway.
