Tripod with Mesh Screen

This tripod and mesh screen is versatile and and allows even heating from all directions. It can be used to support work while you solder, anneal or enamel . We use this tripod in the studio when soldering a bezel to a base plate, so we can heat the piece from underneath. 

You can also melt wax including Mitsuro Hikime  using this tripod. Remove the mesh and place a bowl (ones used in oil burners are ideal) in the top circular stand, you can then heat the bowl from underneath using an Alcohol Lamp or a candle.  

Take extra care when removing the bowl or touching the tripod after any heat has been applied, as these can be extremely hot.
