Genuine Smith Little Torch with Five Tips

The Smith Little Torch is the torch we reach for every day in the studio, for soldering fine jewellery work and for melting metal for sand casting and cuttlefish casting alike. This complete kit gives you the genuine torch with five interchangeable tips, plus Tesuco gas and oxygen regulators and flashback arrestors, so the only things left to source are an LPG bottle and an oxygen bottle (ours came from Bunnings).

As a soldering torch, the Little Torch is hard to beat for control. The smallest tip produces a flame no bigger than a pin head for delicate soldering, while the melting tip handles up to three ounces (93g) of gold or silver at a time when you're casting. The rugged aluminium alloy body is genuinely lightweight, and the flexible hoses mean you can manoeuvre into tight spots that bulkier torches simply can't reach.

We've been running Tesuco regulators in the studio for more than ten years, so the flashback arrestors and gas and oxygen regulators in this kit aren't an afterthought, they're the same setup we rely on ourselves. Flashback arrestors are a genuine safety essential for any jewellers torch running on gas and oxygen, cutting off the supply if a flame ever burns back down the hose.
