This is the same core soldering kit as our Basic Soldering Kit with Torch, minus the torch, for anyone who already has one on the bench. It's a simplified version of our Essential Soldering Kit, focused purely on the essentials you need to start soldering silver and gold.
The 13 pieces include a titanium solder pick, stainless steel antimagnetic tweezers, straight insulated cross lock tweezers, a ceramic soldering plate, four grades of sterling silver solder (extra easy, easy, medium and hard), curved copper tongs, a German brass brush, Handy Flux, citric acid pickle and a pair of Pod Jewellery straight metal shears.
Every tool here is one we actually use in the studio ourselves, not a generic import chosen to fill out a kit list. Having four grades of solder on hand from the start means you can build up multi-joint pieces properly, since each subsequent joint needs a lower-melting solder than the one before it so earlier joints don't come apart.
