Basic Soldering Starter Kit with Torch - 14 Pieces

This kit is our entry point into soldering: a trimmed-down version of our Essential Soldering Kit, with a butane torch included so you can start soldering the moment it arrives. It's the jewellery soldering kit we point beginners toward when they want to keep the initial setup as small and affordable as possible.

The 14 pieces cover the core basics for silver and gold soldering: a butane micro torch, German brass brush, Handy Flux, citric acid pickle, a titanium solder pick, straight cross lock tweezers, copper tongs, stainless steel tweezers, a ceramic soldering plate, four grades of silver solder sheet and a pair of Pod Jewellery straight metal shears (the Essential Soldering Kit uses German shears; this one swaps in our own).

A butane torch is a genuinely good starting point. It's compact, needs no gas bottles or regulators, and gives you enough heat for most small-scale silver soldering while you're learning the basics. If you upgrade to a bigger torch setup later, the butane torch doesn't get retired; it stays a handy spare to have around the studio.
