Essential Soldering Kit with Smith Little Torch

This is the Essential Soldering Kit paired with the Smith Little Torch, and it's the setup we'd point anyone to who wants a serious jewellery soldering station from day one. The Smith Little Torch is used by professional jewellers worldwide for good reason: it gives you a precise, controllable flame that you can adjust down to an extremely fine point, which makes it well-suited to detailed silver soldering work. It's also powerful enough for casting when you need it.

The torch runs on LPG and oxygen through two separate gas lines. This kit includes the Smith Little Torch with five tips, two Tesuco regulators (one for LPG, one for oxygen), and two flashback arrestors. You will need to source your own LPG and oxygen cylinders separately, as these cannot be shipped. If you have any questions about gas supply or setting up the torch, give us a call and we'll walk you through it.

Paired with the torch is the full Essential Soldering Kit: four grades of sterling silver solder (Extra Easy, Easy, Medium, and Hard), Handy Flux, citric acid pickle, charcoal block, honeycomb soldering board with pins, ceramic soldering pad, tripod with mesh, deluxe third-hand, copper tongs, German straight shears, brass brush, washout brush, titanium solder pick, titanium tweezers, and a full set of soldering tweezers.

We've included four tabs of silver solder in Hard, Medium, Easy and Extra Easy so you can start soldering straight away. This kit also includes a soldering board, honeycomb board with pins and a charcoal block.

You might notice your order arrives in a box that’s had a previous life, and that’s intentional. We reuse cardboard cartons to minimise waste, and when we use new boxes, they’re made from recycled materials and designed to be reused again.

Our packing tape, padded mailing satchels, packing peanuts and bubble wrap are biodegradable and compostable. We also use biodegradable zip-lock bags wherever possible.

Give a good result cost effective choice. Remember to keep the labels so you remember what grade each colour is.

This is where you see how a company looks after you! Small defect in one of the pliers. I sent an email with a photo got a quick reply with an offer to replace no hassle at all. Replacement came perfect. PS the quality of the tools is excellent. The true test if a company is how they handle concerns. Very happy. Thank you.

If I ever finish the piece I'm working on I will give it a work out. It's a nice thick cloth and a good size. The tube keeps me from picking it up and using as a clean up cloth. Keep the tube!
