Precision Tweezer - Fine Tip

A fine-tip precision tweezer is one of those tools you use constantly without thinking about it. Picking up a tiny piece of solder and placing it exactly where you want it, repositioning a small component while you hold a torch in the other hand, moving a stone into a setting without touching it with your fingers. This is what jewellers tweezers are for, and the fine tapered tip is what makes all of it possible.

These are standard (non-locking) precision tweezers, which means they work just like any other tweezer: squeeze to close, release to open. The bevelled, tapered tip comes to a very fine point, giving you precise control over small parts and solder pieces. The stainless steel is anti-magnetic and corrosion resistant, so they won't pick up metal filings or degrade from flux exposure over time.

We use these in the studio alongside the cross-locking tweezers. They serve different purposes: the precision tweezers are for picking up and placing, while the cross-lockers are for holding pieces in position during soldering. Having both is worthwhile once you're doing regular bench work.

These tweezers are included in all our soldering kits, the Jewellery Studio Pro Kit, the Deluxe Studio Pro Kit, and the Foundation Kit.

Worth knowing:

  • Fine tapered tip for precise placement of solder and small components
  • Anti-magnetic stainless steel resists corrosion from flux and pickle
