Lost Wax Ring Carving Kit - 27 Pieces

If you want to make rings in wax and you're starting from scratch, this kit gets you to the casting stage with everything you need. It covers the full pre-casting workflow: sizing and marking your wax tube, carving the ring, sawing, refining, and working through the grits to get a smooth, well-prepared surface ready to hand to your caster.

The kit is built around the A1 green wax tube, which is the standard starting point for carving solid rings. The jumbo wax ring sizer reamer helps you open and size the inner bore of the tube accurately, the double-ended wax file handles shaping and surface work, and the spiral saw blades in the 76mm German saw frame cut through wax cleanly. The scriber, dividers, and art knife scalpel give you the marking and carving tools you need for detail work.

The sanding and polishing sequence runs from 400 grit emery through to 8000 grit polishing paper, which takes your wax from filed surface to a pre-polish finish before it goes to the caster. A well-prepared wax model takes less time to clean up after casting, which matters if you're paying for casting services or your own time.

The bench pin with clamp clips to any table and gives you a proper working surface for sawing.

This kit covers the wax carving stage only. It does not include tools for cleaning up and finishing a ring after casting. For a more complete setup that includes post-casting tools, see the Lost Wax Jewellery Tool Starter Kit or the Super Basic Lost Wax Tool Kit. Because this kit is specially priced, discounts don't apply and items cannot be changed, substituted, or removed.
