925 Sterling Silver Rectangular Wire Strip

Rectangle wire strip gives you a flat face on both sides of the band, rather than the single flat face you get from half-round wire, which makes it a good choice for rings, earrings and pendants where you want clean, straight edges. It's 925 sterling silver, made right here in Australia, and dead soft straight out of the packet, so it bends easily without needing to anneal it first.

Sizes run from 2mm wide right through to 15mm wide, in a range of depths, and length depends on size: most widths come in 200mm lengths, usually enough for three rings, while the wider 10mm, 12mm and 15mm strip used for spinner ring base bands comes in 150mm lengths, enough for two. If you're planning a bangle rather than a ring, the 250mm lengths give you the extra length you'll need.

For a standard ring, budget on 50mm to 70mm depending on size, or up to 75mm if you're adding a spinner element.
