925 Sterling Silver Round Wire

If your bench only carries one silver wire, make it round. Sterling silver round wire is the most versatile wire for jewellery making, used for rings, hoop earrings, earring hooks and posts, jump rings, pendants, brooches and wire wrapping. We stock thicknesses from 0.3mm through to 3mm, so you can match the wire to the job rather than the other way around.

Hardness matters as much as thickness. Dead soft wire bends easily and suits ring bands and shaped work, while hard wire holds its form once bent, which is why we make our own earring hooks from 0.8mm and 0.9mm hard wire in the studio. Making your own hooks costs less and lets you shape them to suit your designs, though if hook-making isn't your thing, our ready-made earring hooks have you covered. Ordering longer lengths is simple. If you order more than one piece of the same wire, we will always try to send it as one continuous length, so two 200mm pieces arrive as a single 400mm piece. If we don't have a continuous length in stock, we can order it in and will contact you to discuss your requirements and timing.
