Natural agate stone burnishers can be used for burnishing gold foil onto keum-boo, bezel setting, smoothing metal and precious metal clay.
Agate is strong enough to work with metal, but soft enough that it will not scratch or damage stones that are being set. Agate burnishers are perfect when a softer touch is needed than metal burnishers can provide.
You can also use these burnishers to add a final polish to bezels and they are also great for metal clay and can burnish unfired PMC® metal clay.
Just wonderful they work so well on silver.i even used them on copper and of course gold leaf.
In all openness I am using this item for burnishing copperfoil onto coloured glass for stained glass projects and I could not be happier with it. Only taken 30 years for me to find such a good tool for this job. Love it!
