Automatic Centre Punch

Before you drill a hole in metal, you need a centre punch mark. Without it, your drill bit wanders across the surface and the hole ends up in the wrong place. An automatic centre punch solves this cleanly: you position the tip exactly where you want the hole, press down firmly, and the spring-loaded mechanism fires a precise indentation into the surface. No hammer needed.

This is a proper heavy-weight automatic centre punch, not a lightweight version. The tip is made from hardened ground alloy steel and is well-tempered for long-term use. The body is brass, which gives it the weight and solidity you need for a clean, consistent mark every time you press it down.
