Matt Wax Ring Sizer

This is one of the main tools you need to start making your own wax rings. 

It helps you to quickly and accurately increase the inside of wax ring tubes.

The Matt Ring Sizer is a solid hardwood mandrel that's been specially machined to incorporate a steel cutting blade that extends from the handle to the tapered tip.

The blade shaves the inner wall, enlarging the ring to the size that is clearly marked on the mandrel, leaving a smooth finish. 

The European sizing shown can be easily converted to A-Z sizes.

Beware, there are plastic imitation Matt ring sizers on the market. While sizers might look similar, the blade is of a lesser quality, so it doesn't shave the wax as smoothly. This means extra time cleaning up the ring before or after it has been cast. The cheaper imitations are made from plastic, not wood.

We have purchased several of these less expensive tools to test in the studio and there was a big difference between the fakes and the quality Matt one. Please note, if you are paying less than the price listed here, it is likely you're not buying a genuine product.
