Achieve a flawless finish on your jewellery with our range of emery and polishing papers. From coarse grits for shaping and smoothing to ultra-fine grades for a mirror shine, each sheet has been studio-tested to deliver professional results. Whether you’re refining silver, gold, or base metals, these papers help you move seamlessly from rough work to a perfect polish.
Whatever your stage—rough shaping, smoothing, or final polish—you’ll find the right grade for the job.
Getting a professional finish on your jewellery is all about working through the grits in the right order. Each stage removes the marks left by the previous one, leaving your metal smooth, even, and ready to shine.
Start with coarse emery papers (around 240–400 grit) to remove tool marks, casting lines, or deep scratches. This is the heavy-lifting stage — it shapes your metal and evens out surfaces.
Move to medium grits (600–800) to refine the surface and remove any fine scratches left from earlier sanding. Your metal should start to feel smooth to the touch, with a soft satin sheen.
Use fine polishing papers (1200–2000 grit) to prepare your piece for final polishing. This step brings up a gentle shine and reduces the time you’ll spend at the polishing motor.
Finish with ultra-fine papers (up to 8000 grit) for a mirror-like surface. These papers are perfect for delicate metals such as sterling silver, gold, or platinum.
Always work through the grits in order and make sure to sand in one direction per grit level — this helps you see when all previous marks are gone before moving to the next step.
