Matt Wax Ring Tube with Round Off-Centre Hole Style B1 - Blue

This B1 tube is shaped differently to our other wax ring tubes, the hole runs off-centre rather than straight through the middle, which leaves more wax on the top of the tube. That's useful when your design needs more bulk on one part of the band than the rest, a chunky statement ring, an asymmetric shape, or a design where one side sits noticeably wider or taller than the opposite side.

Like the rest of our matt wax range, this tube is made for carving a lost wax ring. It saws, carves and drills cleanly, and holds its shape in your hands rather than softening as you work it. If your design is symmetrical and you just need an even wall thickness all the way round, the D2 round centre-hole tube is the simpler option, and if you need extra height on one face for something like a signet ring, the A1 flat top tube covers that.

Blue is the softest wax we stock, so it carves easily whether you're shaping your first wax for rings or working through a design with a few passes to get right. It melts out at 107°C, so nothing extra to plan for once you're ready to cast.

Worth knowing:
