Handling and Safety

When you receive your sheet, you'll want to look after it, and it's really easy to do. Just like in class, you'll need to handle your silver sheet carefully so you don't scratch or mark it. We always recommend working on a clean, well-organised surface (just like our big jewellers bench at the studio). You'll get the best results using proper tools and techniques - and don't worry if you're new to all this, we can teach you how to do all this in one of our Intensive Beginners Jewellery Short Courses. To clean it, you'll find mild soap and water will do the trick - no harsh chemicals are needed. 

Storage and Maintenance

It's easy to look after your silver sheet and you'll want to keep it in great condition. Store it in a cool dry place - just like we do in the studio - and keep it away from direct sun and damp. Keeping it in an airtight ziplock bag works well. You can also use a soft cloth to polish it.
