What’s Included

The Delft Clay Casting Kit minus Essential Soldering Kit items includes:

Delft Clay Kit which includes a casting flask and delft clay
1 X WHIP Crucible Holder
2 X Crucibles (small and medium sized)
1 X 500g Borax Powder
20 grams sterling silver casting granules
1 X Steel Ruler

You will need soldering equipment including a slow cooker, a Smith Little Torch, pickle, a brass brush, copper tongs and a ceramic soldering board to start casting your own pieces at home.

The clay is reusable, only a small amount of burnt clay needs to be disposed of each time and the rest can be reused many times.

Clay will retain its moisture levels for between 5-8 years. We've been using the same bag of clay in the studio for seven years and it's still going strong.

You will need to season new crucibles with Borax Powder before using them for the first time.

Shipping Protection covers loss, damage, or theft during transit (but not delays caused by customs). International customers may be charged customs or duty fees, which are the buyer’s responsibility. Sustainability

Eco-Friendly Packaging

We believe it’s our responsibility to help reduce waste, which is why we do our best to ensure our packaging is recyclable and biodegradable.

We are actively working with our manufacturers to help reduce the plastic packaging used in the products we buy. We’re trying our hardest to reduce, remove or reuse plastic. An exception is our A4 copper sheets, which are packaged in recycled zip lock bags, as we’re unable to source biodegradable zip lock bags in this size.

We try to reuse cardboard boxes, so your order might arrive in a box that has been used before. We also use new boxes made from recycled materials that we encourage you to use again.

Our packing tape, padded mailing satchels, packing peanuts and bubble wrap are biodegradable and compostable. Wherever possible, we use biodegradable zip lock bags.

100% Carbon neutral shipping

Transportation used to ship orders burns fossil fuels and generates carbon emissions. Those emissions trap heat, leading to climate change. Pod Jewellery offsets the carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from every shipment.

Pricing

All amounts displayed on this site are in $AUD - Australian Dollars.

All payments are processed in Australian dollars. Due to currency conversion, the amount billed to your credit card may slightly vary from the total amount shown at checkout.

GST

All prices listed on podjewellery.com.au are inclusive of 10% GST and all purchases delivered within Australia will incur the standard GST rates.

All international purchases are exempt from Australian taxes; however, they may incur taxes and duties applied by customs in the country where the order is delivered.

Ordering

Once you find a piece you’d like to buy and click ‘Add to Cart’. It's that simple. You can then purchase or continue shopping If you have any problems with ordering, please contact us and we will sort it out for you.

Collecting items
If you would like to collect any item, please select the pick-up option in the delivery method when checking out. You will then need to email or call Bec to arrange a time to collect your purchase.

Payment

You can pay for your purchases via credit card, PayPal, Afterpay or direct bank deposit.

Gift wrapping

Physical gift certificates are packed in Pod Jewellery boxes and gift wrapped.
